Posted here are pictures of my current progress on my oil paint. I will post a few more pictures as the painting continues.
The first picture is the current canvas with the purple wash on the background and pencil outline ready for painting tomorrow. I chose the purple wash seeing as how it was a darker color that would go well with the noticable shadows I intend to use in the painting. The second picture is of my reference photos that I am using to accuratly recreate the toys. I set them up and used a lamp from my parents' room to get the lighting I wanted to get those noticable shadows and dark colors. The third picture is of the inked line reference of how the toys will be layed out on the canvas. I didn't really like any of the set up angles I got in the pictures, so I positioned them myself on the page as well as marking out the shadows on all the figures to help set up where the colors will go. The final is just a wide shot of my current workspace, including canvase, referances, brushes, and palate.
